Our Garden Blog
Find out what we’ve been planting!
What's growing in the Garden? It is so amazing to pull these guys out of the ground! Our garlic was planted last fall, and harvested in July. We are drying the smaller pieces to plant next year (more info here?)...
Final Harvest of the SeasonToday was the last sprout garden for the year. What a great turn out! We are grateful for the support of students, parents and teachers! We'd love to see you all again next year (and we welcome new faces too!) Contact us to get more...
Potatoes are the star today! The 5th grade class planted potatoes last spring, and today we got to harvest them. What a fun payoff to watch this crop go full circle. Also pulling carrots out of the ground is fun.
Another Great Harvest! Thanks to all of our garden helpers today! Crops today included more beets, green peppers, tomatoes, herbs, and beautiful flowers.
Beets were the star of today’s harvest! We were excited to learn that the West Des Moines food pantry accepts produce donations. This was the first sale we donated our left overs from the sprout garden harvest.
